second artrage work - still life brushing study

testing the oil colours of ArtRage software
this is my interpretation of a painting found on the net at [link] , titled 'Message in a Bottle' by N. Michelle Tully,
oil on wood, 4" x 4"

i enhanced the colours giving them a higher saturation, trying to convey the evidence of the strokes, although in this web-optimized resolution it's not easy to appreciate the sign left by brush strokes.
worked with the 'starter edition' of the software, where many functions are disabled, leaving only few basic functions, enough - i think - to find this software well structured and fitting many painters' needs.
because of those limitations, i added some refining - very little - in photoshop, my main media while digitally painting...
